I could have just said "Like father, like son" if it came to define the similarities in the human relations between the immediate relatives, but in this case, it's more like "Like fashion designer, like fashion show invitation" and I would not be far from remaking the saying to reflect what you are about to see. 

  Should I say more?!! It's mine, mine, mine.  Maison Martin Margiela is one extraordinaire fashion designer. He makes clothes, shoes and accessories that are simply crazy - in a funky kinda way. It's just me, I love everything weird when it comes to fashion. I like both classic and weird, to be more correct. 

Why do bikes have to be this sexy? These Rizoma 77/011 bikes make me rethink my main mode of transport nowadays. Even though, whoever knows me very well - [oh, better yet, who even saw me doing it] - knows well that I love biking and I love my mountain bike . Whenever I lived in a relatively bike-friendly city , I'd use bike as my main mode of transport - I did it in Washington, DC and I even did it in Los Angeles and San Francisco, where it was believed that biking is a rare form of extreme adventure in the midst of people and other ways of transportation that are not being particularly nice to the bikers. So, anything that is about the bike industry - I notice, especially, when it's so damn sexy. Just look at it! I'm so loving the sleek design of this Razoma. And, wait, it gets even better!

Don't you just love the name of the label itself - Make Love Not Trash?!! Wouldn't you also want to click on something like this name? And I did!

I took this picture at the Designers & Books Fair 2012 last month. It was a two-day event, during which the visitors could meet top designers, fashion/design magazine editors and book publishers up close and personal. [I love the F.I.T. events and try not to miss it, if I can!] These two ladies were hanging out in the book fair pavilion. I still don't know if they were the presenters - designers, writers, etc . - or the visitors. Either way, they've caught my attention, and, most likely, I wasn't the only one who has noticed them.

What do you think?

Assuming the footwear should be at least some what practical, functional and comfortable, these boots do not look as something that you'd wear on a daily basis, if - at all.  I could, definitely, see the likes of Lady GaGa or Rhianna wearing these, but not a regular girl from the street.  However, I think the designer of these shoes didn't actually mean to design the wearable footwear, but rather to design a piece of art. These shoes definitely fall in the category of the extravagant design, something that Alexander McQueen would do...  What do you think about these boots? 

Thanksgiving dinner at my parents' house. I'll be missing it terribly this year! Thanksgiving is only two days away, but I'm sure a lot of you have already done all the shopping and string beans, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and, most importantly - the turkey are resting on the shelves of your refrigerator... This is more that I can say for myself! If I'm right about it and you've already done your Thanksgiving shopping, then you are so much smarter than I am, because I haven't done any shopping and/or preliminary preparations, which means, I would have to brave the crowd of the last minute procrastinators tomorrow hoping to have any kind of poultry left. What did I get myself into?!!

I really wished I was in Paris  last week, and not because for all the reasons I love this city - including the Parisian fashion . What is it about Anna Karenina that gives it special status among the great novels? There's not a single novel in the world that hasn't been made into a movie as much and often as this Russian classics by Leo Tolstoy.  How is it that a sensational romantic tragedy of tsarist high society that talks about a relatively common situation - love, passion, disgrace, extramarital affair, and etc. described so artfully in a 900-page book, still provokes both excitement and respect from readers from around the world? Could any of the film directors and/or screenwriters ever do full justice to Leo Tolstoy's great novel? 

"Just a few drops of N°5..." We may never know when she said the phrase for the first time... Do you?

Have you been noticing, how slowly, but surely I've been introducing a bit of design to my blog - from interior and architectural design to print and gadget design?  I've been always interested in design and I don't consider one aspect of it - [e.g. fashion design] - to be complete without any other designs in other areas of life, because, as Armani once responded to the question "What inspires you?" : "I just open my window - [his house is in the Tuscany region of Italy] - and everything that I see outside my window inspires me.. ." I couldn't agree more!

Mizuno, who works with Mizmiz design , created this 'Kotori' chair. I absolutely love it!

Listen, just because it's cold, rainy and, occasionally, snowy, doesn't mean the colors in our wardrobe should be packed far, far away. Bring it on! It's a perfect time to bright up your day and the day of the people who surround you.

I must say, I do love leather. I'm becoming quite a fan of leather pants, leather skirts, leather dresses and everything in between, by which I mean - clothes with leather detailing.  Of course, depends on the quality of the leather, some leather outfits can be a nightmare to wear, because of its heaviness and inflexibility. But with the right leather and form, it's a rather good material to mask all the imperfections, because it does make you look slim-er, tall-er, and sexy-er... A leather outfit just gives you the power of a cat - woman! That's said, what do you think about this one-piece - long leather jumpsuit by Valentino?
