The Oscar's: The Red Carpet's Best, Worst And...Just Love

Image
The Oscar's Academy Award might be over on ABC, but it's no anywhere near to be over in the press and bar conversations - the E! Entertainment TV channel has been on the red carpet review and rewinds of the acceptance speeches with the behind-the-scene looks all morning today. A few more days, and the US Weekly, Life & Style, People, In Touch and many other celebrity gossip magazines will hit the stands with their take on the Oscar's. Let's just say the word "red carpet", "Oscar's" and "Jennifer Lawrence" fall on the stairs  and Ben Affleck's passionate acceptance speech will be on the mouths of many movie fans and movie critics in the next few weeks. Oscar's is, by far, the most grande event in the life of not only Hollywood and American showbusiness, but it's one of the most important and biggest entertainment events in the world because - [and let me break it down for you] - it's the event that changes t

24 Shoes, 24 Places: And much more from Museum at FIT

Image
Shoe Obsession exhibition and tour at Museum at FIT: F ebruary 8 through April 13, 2013. I keep telling you guys that if you live in New York - an ultimate city that offers everything for every interest: from great chefs and artists to fashion designers and financial moguls, you can never be bored. No one can possibly be ever bored in New York City - one of the reasons thousands of people come to the city every year to live, work and - most of the time, stay! This is why the rents are high, the restaurants - even with the thousands of them available - have waiting lists, the subway is over-crowded, and the museums charge entrance fees. [Unlike, say, most of the museums in Washington, DC that are free to the public!] So, you have no excuse saying that you are bored in the city and claim that you've seen and done it all, because it's absolutely impossible. Here's just a tiny portion of how you can acquint yourself with fashion, design and art, while meeting be

Diesel: I Like Them Black And Gold

Image
Just want to say Hi. Hiiiiiii! I’ve been so consumed by my Graphic Design classes that I've been lately very non-fashionably ignorant. But hope to be back very soon! Strangely enough - [and very unlike me] - this winter I've realized that I can live on one pair of jeans, one pair of leather stretched pants, knee high boots and two long bulky sweaters. I've been practically living in them, having no regret whatsoever to change into anything else except for a few special occasions - the New Year Eve in Buenos Aires and my birthday on January 15th and the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (February 8-14, 2013) . The rest of the time, I've been like a hermit, running around New York City, dressed in head-to-toe black, pretty much unnoticeable by the society, hiding at night in warm sweats and thermal socks at home or at the book stores, wearing my UGG s. My UGGs keep on giving...

NY Fashion Week: The Vision of Russian fashion designers For Fall 2013

Image
While the NY Fashion Week, that took place last September, feels like yesterday, the winter time brings us a rather different twist to the fashion. What do you say, when the snow storm comes to town , forcing many fabulous and fashion-friendly places in the city to close up for the after-hours?  You put on a strong face, add an extra layer, put on your snow-proof high heel boots and try to get a taxi way before the snow-escape-seekers would do. You arrive to a runaway show in grace and with a bit of snow wetness on the sleeves of your fabulous coat and with a natural mascara smudge - the effect that usually takes you longer to achieve during a normal day routine.  For more tips on how to stay fabulous during the NY Fashion Week, Fall 2013 and why you should take a note on the Russian fashion designers, read here:   NY Fashion Week: The Russians are coming!   Is the black back? How about a hit of red and white? Here's what the Russian fashion designers in a mini preview

You might have been surprised that I haven't been updating my blog as often as I did, say, a month ago? And this is why!

Introducing My FOSI Discoveries: Funny, Odd, Shocking, & Inspiring

Image
I don't know about you, but I'm being inspired by something and/or someone on a daily basis. All it takes is to look around and you might see something that would either inspire your heart and/or your mind.  Yes, I do get it that the chances of finding and/or coming across the 'inspirational stuff'' in a small town like Waco, TX are much lower than coming across something funny, odd, shocking and inspiring - [or as I call it - FOSI] - in  New York. Yes, I get it! Living in New York City, definitely, has its advantages - the city is so diverse in pretty much everything that it doesn't take much time or travel to be inspired. You can walk out of your apartment and bump into some fashionista - the chances it'd happen are pretty high. I get inspired every day. It could be a window decoration of a store and/or an individual's personal fashion style, who might have passed you on a subway platform. To make my point short, no matter how long I'
