Fashionable Cozy-Ups For The Fall...

I hate to be the one to tell you that the summer is over, but...

It's O-V-E-R, just as with the initial interest in The Real Housewives of New York after it's lost half of the original cast. It's not going to be the same - from now on. And as many of you know, when the seasons change, we dread the moment when we need to dedicate a WHOLE weekend to dry-cleaning, laundering and packing away the summer clothes just in time to replace them with the wrinkled-up fall's clothes, shoes and accessories who have been stored away. For many of us - they've been stored such that when unpacked - they need some TLC to look decent and - [newly stylish] - enough to be worn...in time for the fall's rain.

On the other hand, just think of all the wonderful, cozy things you can do in the Fall. Fall is not for any reason has known to be a favorite season for many poets, including Alexander Pushkin, who used to say that he created his most talented work in the fall...

As for me - fall means: time to curl up to something cozy, make yourself something hot and sweet - [think hot chocolate and gluhwein] - and pull out a cozy read. Or even better - pull out the notorious SEPTEMBER issue of Vogue, known to be the thickest, heaviest, biggest issues of a year. They even dedicated a movie to it that I'm soon getting on a DVD - just because it's the only movie that shows so much of up-close and personal shots and conversations with Anna Wintour.

Besides, who can resist the beautiful Kate Moss that does not seem to either age or have any bad habits to influence her career. A fashionista can only say one think - R-E-S-P-E-C-T...in a very fashionable sense of it.

But then again, even a thick magazine could last you as long...Just in case if you are up for some serious fashionable reads - well, besides one thick book on street fashion The Sartorialist, that I've mentioned before - there are about. Just to name a few: “Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel”, “Vogue: The Covers,” “Harper’s Bazaar: The Greatest Hits,” “Chanel: Couture and Industry”, “Cristobal Balenciaga: The Work of the Master”, “The Wedding Dress: 300 Years of Bridal Fashions,” “An Intimate Life”, “Sleeping With the Enemy: Coco Chanel’s Secret War”, “Intimate Chanel", “It’s All About the Dress,”“Nostalgia in Vogue,” “Preppy: Cultivating Ivy Style,” and “Fendi Baguette". Just don't exhaust yourself...

Time to roll out your personal [fall's] comfort...We'll talk about parkas and ski caps in a few months.
