The Weirdest Moments of the NY Fashion Week 2013

Fashion Weeks in New York City is the time, when the city changes...

It becomes more fashionable. It becomes more aware of what's hot and what's not. It becomes more busy. It becomes celebrity-packed. It becomes competitive, when it comes to getting into the hottest restaurants of the city: everyone wants to be there...

But, when it comes to me, I love the moments of the fashion weeks that really stand out: like the strangest invitations the designers sent to the press and celebrities, the strangest looks on the runaway, the awkward moments in the crowd of attendees, the interior design of the shows that no one has done before, and...the outfits on and off the runaway. That's my favorite. I devour in it.

So, here are a few things that I found...not ordinary during the New York fashion week 2013:
Betsey Johnson fashion show invitation:

Thom Browne's zombie brides:

I'm all for the originality, but zombie do not make me want to be stylish...what about you?

Comme Des Garcons leather bunny hat:

I actually can use one of those for my Halloween outfit this year...

Same outfits by the high-profile attendees/guests:

Solange Knowles pulled off a very brave face, when she ended up seating next to the...exact outfit, worn by DJ (Leigh Lezark) at Noon By Noor show during NYFW Fall 2013. Isn't it the worst nightmare of all the celebrities to show up AND to be photographed next to another celebrity, wearing the same outfit? For them it is.

J.W. Anderson Spring/Summer 2014:

I always wonder, when the designers make 'unwearable' fashion, what do they expect us to do about it?

When, why is that many designers, from Jason Wu to Milly decided this season that we should show our undergarments, like bras and panties? I don't know about your employer, but I'm sure mine would not like to see me dress like this neither in the office, nor at the outing....

And, one more thing - no self-respected woman would show up anywhere flashing a boob...

Reem Acra: she's a woman, she should know better...
Fendi: or, to be exact, the very furry Fendi:

Talking about a very furry-ous show in color...

Spotting some very strange footwear:

When models were made up like puppy dogs and...pandas:

Auf, auf, auf...my cat digged it.

Seeing Anna Wintour to...warm up to somebody, ever, for the first time:

Victoria and David Beckham's new family addition, Harper, managed to make Anna Wintour smile!

Finally! They should put this photo in the Vogue's archives as a prove that Devil Wears Prada can smile. Remember this moment, it might be the last time you see Ms. Wintour smile...

This is rather a not weird moment, but an awesome moment: to see one of my favorite characters from "Downton Abbey" - British actress Michelle Dockery -  attending the NYC fashion week! Welcome to America!

And looking back at the fashion shows, here's the recap of what the scene was like in the past few years:
