Camera, Set, Go: Behind The Scenes of DC Fashion Week 2011

We all know that the magic happens before, in-between and after a fashion show. A different kind of magic - when the fashionistas get up from their seats and walk the hallways in hope to be captured by the photographers...Even if they say, they are indifferent to it. They are NOT. They actually dress more for the photographers than they do for the rest of the crowd. As a matter of fact, there are quite a few street fashion photographers in NYC, for example, who made it way too cool for someone to end up on their blogs.

I'll tell you even better...shshshshsshshsh...

From very fit and blue to loose and naturals...

Many prominent socialites, fashionistas and fashion industry's influential figures who say that if they are not photographed by the likes of Bill Cunningham, then it's like being dead...Cunningham is the man behind the New York Time's Style - On The Street column, for which he has been creating magic for the last 50 years. On many occasions very well known people would get upset for not being on his pages that come out every Sunday and can be also seen online.

So, what I'm saying is that sometimes I'm loving it more to shoot people in the crowds, on the streets, at the shows who come to share their personal styles. For some, it looks effortlessly natural to dress with a style, for some - it's inconveniently planned and worn as a 'roman armory' just for the 'battle' for a place in fashion...

The  bright colors are back...so is the beige and military and hobo bags and backpacks...
All-jeans looks, military style boots, brown dress-up shows, fitted pants and stripe shirts and jackets...
