If so, see amazing documentary Banksy Does New York, directed by Chris Moukarbel, which talks about Banksy's experimental one month residency in New York City, where he sets to surprise public every day with new work around the city unannounced. This fragment talks about one day of the month when he sets up a stall near the Central Park and sells his original work for $60 a piece. In just this one fragment Banksy makes a good point of how art is nothing without attaching a famous name to it. Genius point. Watch what happens...you'll be blown away.

I bet you didn't know that TriBeCa Film Festival is not only about the traditional filmmaking. Yep, neither did I until I went to the TFI interactive event - an all day one day event during the first week of the festival that showcase the latest technologies in the filmmaking like virtual reality, holograms, 3D and etc. This year they brought robots and more virtual reality! Even Katie Holmes stopped by to check it out.

It's not as easy to grow a green business, especially if you are an immigrant. I think many people in USA can associate with it and on many levels. America was built on immigrants, let's not forget it!

So, I'm caught up in the moment today thinking about how awesomely great, just absolutely perfect Meryl Streep was in "Devil Wears Prada" movie.

The South of France is a truly magic place, especially the towns of Province and French Riviera like  Cannes , St. Tropez, Antibes, and Nice. One can even count Monaco as 'part' of the south of France, because it's only half an hour away from Nice by car and requires no 'hassle' to enter. But while some of the towns in the Southern France are not as wide known, almost everyone, if not knows, then at least has heard about the town of Cannes. Most of this 'fame' is thanks to the  Cannes Film Festival , which has been taking place each month of May for sixty-six years. This year, from May 15th to 26th Cannes has become once again THE spring destination for both film fans, filmmakers and film stars...

What is it about Anna Karenina that gives it special status among the great novels? There's not a single novel in the world that hasn't been made into a movie as much and often as this Russian classics by Leo Tolstoy.  How is it that a sensational romantic tragedy of tsarist high society that talks about a relatively common situation - love, passion, disgrace, extramarital affair, and etc. described so artfully in a 900-page book, still provokes both excitement and respect from readers from around the world? Could any of the film directors and/or screenwriters ever do full justice to Leo Tolstoy's great novel? 

"Fashion must be the intoxicating release from the banality of the world" One word for you - if you haven't seen this documentary yet, you are not a true fashionista! "Is there anything beyond fashion?"

It's unlikely that you'd think that fashion would need some therapy.  I'm talking about the latest film from Roman Polanski "A Therapy" that is being presented by Prada. I'm dying to see.  And what did you think I meant?

One of the most successful and genius artistic collaborations between a director and an actor of all times is Pedro Almodovar and Pelenlope Cruz. Last week I've attended a rather interesting - [and, a fascinating for me] - lecture-presentation at the Museum at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) dedicated to the fashion in the films of Pedro  Almodóvar.

  Having been fascinated with The Oscar's Academy Awards show for the last 20+ years, I can definitely call myself a devoted fan of the show. I've been religiously watching The Oscar's ceremony every single year from the day I remember myself. I think it's the only late night show that I was allowed to stay up late for when I was little - [ maybe because my mom was watching too]. So, you can imagine what I felt, when I actually got intimate with The Oscar's...

When I was leaving New York City at the end of 2005, I knew I'd be back. There's just no where in the world I'd rather live, and, believe me, I've tried. I lived in some of the best US and European metro cities: from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Washington DC to Paris and Moscow - there's absolutely no place on earth that can live up to the New York scenery.

The other day I was passing the press stand and have noticed something that brought some memories back. I saw this month's Vogue... And you must ask: "So, what?"...

I'm really loving it. It reminds me of all the retro 1970s films about the African-American civil rights movements, Jazz clubs and Diana Ross era...I could never understand why so many African-American women color and flatten their hair when it looks so good the natural style? I hope they'd keep the 'new' look for a while! What do you think?
