A Hairdo Experimentation: How Far To Go?

How far one can go with a hairdo in today's day and age? 

This girl seems to have a lot going on with her hairdo: there's a rather alternative cut, a multi-coloring, a shave and a bun with a twist...

As much as I appreciate seeing other people having the guts to take their hairstyle way too far and experiment - [being a boring conservative myself, who's cut her hair very short only twice in life - at 5, when there was a flee scare in the kindergarden and at 12 - due to a lot of beach, sand and swimming that made it intolerable to wash the long hair on a daily basis] - I still think there's a limit to how far a woman can push her hairdo.

In my humble opinion, a woman has such a great privilege over a man to experiment with the hair, because it's a given - naturally and historically. It's been always like that - men would be more or less conservative with their hairdos/styles and women would be more experimental. For example, in the 80s of punk, rock and Farrah Fawcett, women would go crazy over the coloring their hair in all possible colors - green, blue, red, etc., or in 1930s with a full swing in place, the finger waves became the 'it' hairstyle, in the 18th century - women would spend hours putting those elaborate french twists and buns, while all that men had to do is to brush and to shave the sideburns. And I'm not even going to go into the era of Marie Antoinette...

But interesting enough, today we can see all of those hairstyles on one head. Is it good or bad? I'm not sure. What do you think? When too much of hair experimentation is too much?
