Yes, summer is finally here, and I'm about one year late to share the swimsuits I'm loving this season and where to find the open pools in the city!

It's summer. It's hot. [At least in New York City it's been in high 90s in the last two weeks.] And it's time for some beach, which means, as much as we love our sun, we should love our skin more.

Why, WHY do they have to be so expensive! I'm lusting after these absolutely fabulous and awesome in so many ways -  Chanel Espadrilles . My favorite colors are white/black, black, and beige.  Chanel never seems to cease to amaze me...

The summer is finally here, and the New Yorkers know what it means - the heat in the city feels so much hotter than out and about in the open area in a less crowded and congested city, which 'breathes', while the AC is bursting out inside the subway carts, at the stores and in the offices.  Those who love New York City have to battle some of the worst 'climates' of the city, every year, but still love living in the city, or not as much when you feel the sweat running down your absolutely fabulous outfit?  How do you cope with the summer heat, when you have to accommodate both the heat of the city and the coldness of the offices? Here are some street styles and tips...

I have two visual weaknesses - prints of cats and bikes. If I see a tee with a graphic design of a cat on it, I want to buy. If I see pants with a bike graphics print all over it - I want to get it. Bikes and cats are my weaknesses. Thus, there's a reason why I would take a notice of these sandals. I'm definitely loving these Menorquinas Bicycle Ivory by CASTELL.

Talking about the nail polish. It's either very right or very wrong, with nothing in between, because no one wants to wear a mediocre polish. Every season - as with anything - a woman shops for both the seasonal nail polish and/or for a classic one that is always in style, like Essie's   "Sugar Daddy" and Revlon's "Red" . While some colors come and go - like the neon colors, the classic ones are always in style, but they can bore you to death if you keep on using only them, so you mix it up, especially when it comes to the summer, when not only both toes and nails are exposed, but also because it's summer - one goes for more color in the summer. And this season around, I felt like I want to add some dark pink nail polish to my home collection. I've tried all kinds of pink shades to find the one that would give me a good mood. I think I tried all the brands until I found the one that works for me.

The latest cool creation from Acne, one of the Stockholm's natives I really like.  Acne often combines the European minimalism and simplicity - the Nordic style [think German Bauhaus , Russian Constructivism ) - with the vibrant colors that usually define the Italian high fashion style.

I'm back with the monochrome style again.  When last week I've posted a  blog  about the white+black=monochrome style for this season, I mentioned to you that you'll be seeing a whole lot of whites and blacks across many brands. And I was right.  Joe Fresh is another store that I keep talking about it as I find their designs and the quality of their clothes and accessories very high, while, at the same time - very approachable when it comes to the prices. Here's just a few looks that you can put together by using only the clothes, accessories and footwear from Joe Fresh . And what if I told you all of these items are under $49? Not bad for a start, not bad at all...

Trend alert! While the colors will still prevail this season, be prepared to go monochrome! They say that once you start wearing color, it's rather difficult to go back to the whites and blacks. However, the white and black colors - and the combination of the two - have gotten quite an exposure on the runaways around the world this season. And it doesn't only involve the clothing - you will also see it in accessories, shoes, and nail polish.

Fendi, Summer/Fall 2013 You might have not yet spotted in your city, but this is what's going to invade the fashion-forward cities in the next few months - the mohawks! And not just any - it will be blue, pink, magenta, violet, orange... And you should know who to blame for this funky punk hairdos!
