Of course, it wouldn't be a true fashion night without stylish guests, champagne, exotic entertainers and the views to kill for of New York's Hudson River and George Washington Bridge...

Continuing with the  Manhattan Riviera Beach Soirée Benefiting Fashion For Autism, i n collaboration with  Edwing D'Angelo , ModaListas showed their Summer 2012 collection, which I found both very urban and 'take me down to a horse race' old school glamour event like - big hats, the blouses with puff sleeves and the beige loose pants.  Just before the show, I got a shot of one of the models, wearing a look from the ModaListas Summer 2012collection as she stepped out to say Hi to her mother and take a picture of the beautiful sunset (see below) and herself. The model, as I found out, is Russian.

Last Thursday, I was invited to attend a fundraising event for Fashion For Autism organization that is being supported by Edwing D'Angelo , a NewYork based designer, who I first met last February during the Couture Fashion Week Fall 2012.   D'Angelo's Fall 2012 collection was one of the best I saw during the fashion week and I took a note. I covered his collection on my blog , as well as posted a short video on my YouTube . It caught his attention and he wrote to me, thanking personally for covering his show and we became Twitter friends.  Having been exposed to the fashion industry for a while now, I know that it doesn't happen often that a designer him/herself would follow up with the press and bloggers and keep in touch with them, but it's the case here. So, when the next opportunity came, Edwing sent me a personal invitation to attend his fashion show runaway, which he was doing as a fundraiser for Fashion For Autism, and, of course, I could neither s...

I wrote about Natalia Vodianova 's charity foundation Naked Heart Foundation before, and I'm writing about it again.  Vodianova fascinates me - not only as a fashion supermodel, who can pretty much make any clothing item, accessory and shoes sexy, but she manages to do so with three kids that, unlike many models, she had very young in the age.

Uniqlo for Tokyo... Very often we see fashion brends' contribution to support a great cause: Breast Cancer Awareness, AIDS, natural disasters, etc. You start to appreciate the fashion industry players even more, when you see them do something that is more meaningful to the people and the world than their 'runaways'. And I think they do understand how important is to give out and that luxury and fabulously is not what the life is all about...

It's one thing when the pink color plays part in the runaways and it's one thing 'everything in pink' goodies - from pink mascara to pink bags and shoes - appear on pages of magazine a week or so prior the Breast Cancer Awareness month. It's another thing, when you actually become part of such 'pink' event and meet the breast cancer survivors - [those who fall in the 65% of the women with the breast cancer in USA who are able to beat the disease] - and the people who organize those events at their own time and money to benefit various organizations, hospitals, and individuals to fight the breast cancer. I've been always a strong supporter for the cause. I've participated in both fundraising events, charities, marathons, races, etc...And this year, I got an opportunity to do it in Washington, DC - to be part of the annual Pink Party DC .
